2021, May 25 – Allterco (BSE: A4L), makers of the IoT brand Shelly,
announced that their smart power metering device Shelly 3EM has been awarded Category Winner at EC&M Product of the Year 2021 awards for Monitoring and Control Equipment,
proving to be the ultimate automation product suitable for installation and use in residential, commercial, and
industrial applications. Developed in collaboration with Analog Devices,
Inc. – a leading global high-performance semiconductor company, Shelly 3EM allows precise energy monitoring and
provides control for improved energy savings.
Meeting a long list of criteria, Shelly 3EM won over the hand-picked panel of judges who ranked this year’s Product of the
Year contestants based on a uniform list of scoring standards, ultimately selecting 31 category winners for the
first phase of the competition. Each category winner will then compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place through an online poll
available on the EC&M website.
Giving owners enhanced safety and everyday control over appliances or machinery, along with the ability to make smart
decisions about electrical consumption, Shelly 3EM heads the Monitoring and Control Equipment category thanks to its
Wi-Fi connected energy measurement technology and 10-amp contactor control, monitoring up to three phases between 110
and 240v per line.
With full energy consumption data free Cloud storage, Shelly 3EM is ideal for sub-metering, solar, appliance metering,
and control via contactor, residential, or industrial safety shut-offs – thanks to individual channels independent
control. It supports REST API, CoAP, MQTT, and Cloud API out of the box, allowing the connection of the device to home
automation platforms including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant and others.
